Technology Innovation and Commercialization

Mr. Samuel Ojonimi Eneanya is the Director, Technology Innovation and Commercialization (TIC) Department. Mr. Eneanya was born on the 5th of June, 1960 in Ayah, in Ibaji Local Government Area of Kogi State. He had his elementary/primary school education at St. Patrick’s Primary School, Ayah, Kogi State; before proceeding to St. Peter’s College, Idah, Kogi State for his secondary school education which he successfully completed in 1981.
Mr. Eneanya proceeded to the School of Basic Studies(SBS) Makurdi, Benue State later in 1981 for his ‘A’ Level IJMB which he completed in 1983. Also, in 1983 he gained admission into Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria for a first degree programme where he graduated with a in Business Administration in 1986.

Mr. Samuel O. Eneanya started his public service career in 1990 when he joined the National Office of Industrial Property(NOIP) now National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion(NOTAP) as Analyst/Admin Officer II ; and rose through the ranks to the position of Director, effective 1st January, 2016 . While on the job, Mr. Eneanya enrolled for a Master of Business Administration(MBA) in Financial Management at the Lagos State University(LASU) Ojo, Lagos in 1996 and graduated in 1998 . He is an Alumni , United States , Patent and Trademarks Office Academy, Washington DC; under the sponsorship of World Intellectual Property Organisation(WIPO) visiting scholars programme where he obtained a Diploma Certificate.

Over the years, Mr. Eneanya had attended numerous training courses both locally and abroad in the areas of Intellectual Property(IP) Asset Management; Technology Transfer Negotiation; Project Management; Investment Appraisal; R&D Results Commercialization etc. He has special interest in Small and Medium Enterprises(SMEs) development, technology transfer and innovation commercialization. He has served as a resource person at many fora .

Mr. Samuel O. Eneanya has served NOTAP in other capacities, including membership of NOTAP Staff Pension Management Board for several years, member, FMST Ministerial Committee on Blue Print for R&D Results and Innovation Commercialization etc. Mr. Eneanya is happily married with children.
