DG NOTAP Bags Award for Leadership And Human Capacity Development
An award of excellence in recognition of leadership qualities and human capacity building has been presented to the Director General National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP) Engr. Umar Buba Bindir by Niger Delta Peace Initiative Project.
Presenting the award to the Director General, leader of the Initiative, Pastor Festus Olubodun accompanied by a member, Julius Enehikhuere described Engr. Bindir as a father figure and a detribalized Nigerian with a passion for development. He said the various initiatives of the DG in NOTAP is highly commendable and capable of positively transforming Nigerians and even generations yet unborn.
Pastor Olubodun described technology as the fulcrum of present day development since without it all efforts of man cannot be sustained.
Receiving the Award, the Director General of NOTAP Engr. Umar Buba Bindir congratulated the Initiative especially the excellent work by a member of the initiative Jude Enehikhuere who wrote a book titled, EMERGING ISSUES OF NIGER DELTA AND TRUE FEDERALISM. He commended him for pulling his rich media experience and resources together to share what he has with others.
Engr. Bindir said Nigerians should continue to advocate that Nigeria remains an indivisible entity pointing out that his vision, AGENDA 1777 is advocating for 1 Nigeria in the next 7 years with 7 globally recognized Nigerian products and 7 Nigerian multinational companies.
He stressed that a product like Ponmo and Garri are already Nigerian brands that will have international markets through value addition using Science, Technology and Innovation.
Engr.Bindir decried insults being meted to those in authority saying it does not augur well for development, he rather appeal for prayers for our leaders so they can serve well in Office. He promised to work with the initiative in building a better Nigeria.
An award certificate and the recently launched book, EMERGING ISSUES OF NIGER DELTA AND TRUE FEDERALISM written by Jude Enehikhuere were presented to the Director General by leader of the Initiative Pastor Olubodun.
